Forever

The Beginning of a new Adventure!!

Final Pictures: May 28th, 2011

Refreshments for a final send-off.

Travis, who guided us through the closing.

Travis and Sheila announcing the prizes.

Joanne-- ten years behind our check out counter.

Surely there is something left.  Sally Clark searches.

One last purchase after years of purchases.

Debbie and Jeretta came in every day to accumulate points to win the 32" flat screen TV. They are donating it to the 2nd grade at St. Mary's. Many people contributed their points also to the cause.  Thank you, everyone.

Mother, Betty Wortman, with Nancy. Hugs all around

It would have been a first. Nancy contemplated trading her portable digital TV with Chassity.  She didn't.

Mother and Daddy look on as Joanne cleans up the prize table.  Debbie and Jeretta carry their prize out the back door.

Paul and Marie Senff. Paul loves books as much as I do. If he hadn't been a missionary, I wonder if he would have had a bookstore.

My Mother and Dad were part of the store at the beginning.  Kathleen and Nancy wave farewell

We still have a few fixtures, card racks, gift wrap supplies, paper cutters, etc. and displays are for sale. Also, the banner, "God Bless our Veterans"  and "Anniversary Sale" are still available

May 23rd---Bible Shelves are moved. We discovered a forgotten and hidden window.

"When God closes a door, He opens a window."  On this window, it will take a little more work to open. The front room was added and a wall covers the window on the other side.

Many of you have encouraged me with the words, "When God closes a door, He opens a window.  We serve a God of surprises with plans that are good for us, plans to give us hope.

Monday the bookshelves went to their new home, a candle shop opening on Main Street. As they moved the Bible shelves, a window was revealed. I'd forgotten it was there.  It seemed like an affirmation of my hopes and your good wishes.

(We won't ponder the fact that the window can't actually open because the wall of the front gift and card room was simply built over it. Although,  I'm understanding even that reality as a message not to become discouraged when my new direction has some obstacles to overcome.)

Below gives you an idea of how quickly things are moving. Come in soon!

Banners also for sale

Wrapping paper with cutters and some displays

A few frames  and baby crosses
